One has a choice to use a USB connection to connect to the computer.(Exactly what I was looking for) The USB connection comes with an adapter just in case one has a need to use the older type connection so it works both ways. For the price, the keyboard is well worth it. A side slider for those who want to do a close up for pictures. It even has extra keys in which one can save their favorite sites. The keyboard has the extra features I wanted above the F keys such as my documents, my pictures, my music, mail, web home and even messenger. I decided on this keyboard as it was not priced as high as the others. It also has extra keys for the media player such as play, fast forward and rewind, and also has volume control and mute. (It actually works) The letter keys are kind of flimsy, (narrower than the older board letter keys) so it may feel uncomfortable for those with stubby fingers or wide hands.

I would Highly recommend this keyboard for someone who does a variety of things all at once. I like being able to bring up the web or email without going through a lot of menus or having to shrink what I am working on. It was a replacement keyboard for a Dell keyboard. I was impressed with the control buttons at the top. I have not explored all of the buttons of features but it seems pretty comprehensive.
It's great, smooth, just the right kind of feel, has all the right quick hotkey buttons and what really makes this nice is the 5 extra customizable buttons.I've been typing on a laptop for a while and then after that one of those curve keyboards so it took a few days to adjust back to normal style again.I do think a slight curved keyboard is more comfortable, but I opted to go back to standard to keep my fingers quick for using multiple other & various computers. We'll see though I might get another curve one this keyboard is nice, but it does feel a bit cramped to me.
